Last October, we were thrilled to shoot with the amazing Angela Martin of Gemini Photography in gorgeous Toronto for this stunning “Light As A Feather” shoot! I was totally honored to be part of a team that also included Oh Dina! fascinators, flowers from Cathy Martin, and model Laura Malaka (doesn’t she have the dreamiest face?). Today was even more awesome because the shoot has been published on Wedluxe Magazine’s blog!   I feel so fancy!

When I first moved to Chicago last January, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to satisfy my first, most expensive love: fabric, specifically lace. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good trip to Joann’s as much as any other crafty girl, but if you’re looking for a way to really make me smile, take me on a field trip to really well-stocked fabric store any day, especially one that is jam-packed with obscure silk weaves or uniquely textured home decorating materials. Imagine my joy when I found Supreme Novelty Fabrics tucked away in Chicago’s Fulton Warehouse District. This fabric shop, family-owned for nearly 100 years, has a rich history as a purveyor of fabric and notions to the city’s tailors and decorators, and now, to Mignonette’s clients!
Here are just a few things I’ve made with fabric from Supreme Novelty’s rich trove of goodies:

What’s even more exciting is that the kind folks at Supreme Novelty have caught on to the fact that I’m there all the time, and have kindly started working with Mignonette and our clients to help choose fabrics, order special prints, and more. They even did a little write-up on us for their new blog!

Now, when brides arrive for a fabric trip with Mignonette, they will find their choices laid out in a special area and tagged with their names. Even better?  A member of the Supreme Novelty staff will be on-hand to answer any question that you might think of!  How’s that for service?  It’s pretty dreamy. Thanks, Supreme Novelty!
