If you know me at all, you will know that I am an impossible romantic (seriously. last night I watched Lord of the Rings and actually got a bit misty when Aragorn and Arwen were reunited. Sigh) who loves anything vintage .  Bien sur, when the rest of the images from November’s Vintage Tea Party shoot popped into my inbox today, I had to share.  Naturally Yours events owner Carlene Smith has a way with approachable elegance – her impeccable use of texture and color turned Loft On Lake ‘s  glamorously industrial interior into a scene straight out of Provence.

Tiny details like the hanging escort table will put guests in the right frame of mind – help them find their seats with escort cards artfully clothespinned to strips of muslin and cotton blooms.  Once they get to the reception hall, get creative by decorating with cotton blossoms  in vintage tea cups and arrange wintry blooms in shades of pale grey and green in antique milk glass.  A mismatched silver service and antiqued gold chargers take the stuffiness out of a formal dinner,  and muslin napkins tied with twine and lace add just the right nonchalance. Combine  chic simple menus and table cards  from Julie Hannan Designs, succulents  from Larkspur, and a sweets table from Floriole and Luscious Layers (complete with a traditional croquembouche!), and you will have no trouble convincing guests they are in a rustic barn surrounded by fields of lavender and rosemary.
